Dir: Robert Siodmak. Stars Burt Lancaster, Yvonne De Carlo, Dan Duryea, Stephen McNally. A 'film noir' picture that is about as good as they get. Leonard Maltin gives it a '***' rating in his "2008 Movie Guide". Cinematography is by Franz Planer and music written by Miklos Rozsa. Even offers the first screen appearance from Tony Curtis (he's seen as DeCarlo's dance partner in a short scene). Remade in 1995 as "Underneath". This highly sought-after 'noir' thriller is in wonderful condition with fantastic 1960 Kodak contrast. What more is there to say about this late 40's classic Lancaster film noir? This print is in top condition with minimal splices and just a hairline here or there at most. Complete with that gorgeous UNIVERSAL logo and all titles and credits. A true collector item and getting harder to find, especially in this kind of condition and contrast. Absolutely no warpage or vinegar smell. Don't let this one get away!!
