Description
Gigot ( VHS TAPE ) - Jackie Gleason , rare vhs tape on fox video , NOTE , there is no artwork with this tape , see photo #2 , there is just a vhs tape in a black case , I just viewed this entire movie and it played great .. NOTE..... this movie was never released on dvd ( all dvds of this movie are bootlegs and copies ) Gleason's Gigot is a mute Parisian. He lives in a basement in Montmartre, makes a meager living sweeping up and is ridiculed by his neighbors because of his obesity and his disability. He reacts to their cruelty with tears and puppy-dog eyes, and when he befriends a little girl, the daughter of an insensitive prostitute, the locals accuse him of terrible things. What a sweet, wonderful movie! Jackie Gleason may have been the greatest entertainer of all time. This movie shows that he wasn't all "booze, broads, cigarettes, and showgirls." When I first saw that this movie had Jackie in it, I thought it was a "vanity film" (sometimes stars take movies to satisfy large egos) but I sure was wrong. This is a wonderful movie full of heart and love. Only people with good souls could make a movie like this. I highly recommend this movie and once you see this movie you'll see that Jackie Gleason was a big man with a big heart.
