Description This auction is for what appears to be a hard to find VCD (Video CD) of the 1998 film Godzilla, starring Matthew Broderick. Note: This is a VCD, not a DVD. It may or may not play in a DVD player. The upside to it is that it's Region Free and will also work on your computer whether you have a DVD drive or not. VCD movie files are basically .mpg videos placed on a disc that most DVD players and all VCD players recognize and play like a DVD, but not with as sharp of quality. There are two discs, as the movie is 139 minutes long, and VCD discs usually can't exceed 80 minutes.As this item is never opened, I can't really speak for the content inside and what the movie looks like on VCD. I've only experienced it once before on another Japanese VCD I own, Interview with the Vampire, and if it's done the same way, I can say this - the movie is in Full Screen, and will have unremovable Japanese subtitles at the bottom. A nice little addition to any collector of Godzilla merchandise (I know a few I happen to be acquainted with), and also a fun movie for families (Rated PG-13 by the MPAA). Place a Bid!
