One of television's longest-running comedies (1952-1966), we watch the boys grow up, go to high school, college, get married and, in Ricky's case, become a rock and roll star. Most of the stories took place at the family's home at 822 Sycamore Road, in mythical Hillsdale, USA, where it appeared Ozzie never worked, Harriet kept an immaculate house (ala June Cleaver) and no problem was so serious it could not be solved within the family. VOLUME 1 Two episodes set when the kids were young: SEPARATE ROOMS - The Nelson house is mass confusion as David and Ricky each want their own bedroom. In the ensuing chaos, Ozzie and Harriet are each convinced that the other wants a separate bedroom. ORCHIDS AND VIOLETS - Ozzie dressed in old gardening clothes orders violets from the local florist. The florist, believing Ozzie can't afford anything better, provides a romantic surprise--orchids. Ozzie is convinced that Harriet has a secret admirer. VOLUME 5 Two episodes set when the kids are in high school. RICKY THE DRUMMER - Ricky makes his singing debut at a teen dance. He plays drums with a name band, does a bop dance with a pretty girl and sings a rhythm and blues number.
